Biotechnology is a science that integrates Biology and Technology. Every thing that deals with science, foods, medicine and agriculture is related bio-technology. • A Bachelor’s degree (4 years program) in bio-technology or an allied field (molecular biology, microbiology or biochemistry) from an accredited college is the basic requirement to attain a post in bio-technology in a company.
• A Bachelor's degree is adequate if you want to become a laboratory technician / assistant, however, students keen to take up higher-level research, must obtain a Master's degree or Ph.D. A Master’s degree from an accredited college will definitely enhance your job prospects.
