You must not have an overpayment of any Federal Pell Grant, and of course like any other type of federal financial aid you MUST fill out the FAFSA. You must also be attending an eligible and accredited institution or you will not qualify to receive funds.

Awards are given based on the discretion of the government as well as the college that they will be attending. The maximum amount that is offered to any student who plans on attending or is currently attending college is $4,000 per year. The need for the FSEOG grant is determined based on the information that you have submitted in your Federal Application for Student Aid. Without completing the FAFSA you will be unable to receive any college funding from the government so this is literally the most crucial step for you to complete in order to secure federal financial aid.

That is quite a bit of money when you consider that you don’t even need to pay it back!
