Council jobs are usually jobs found within the area of local government. This does not mean that you must have the skills or knowledge to become mayor or reside in some other highly visible position. Council jobs often offer far more benefits that other positions you will find. One downside to this employment arena is job stability. In times of economic crisis, these positions are often reduced, so people are forced to find alternate employment.
